What is the Week of Action?
As well as our Retrofit Summit & Expo (13 Nov, Univ. of Salford), the week of action allows Greater Manchester's not-for-profit organisations to host their own events and activities online and in-person throughout the week.
What Format Can Events Take?
Events should be FREE to attend for all, and can be online or in-person - you decide what works best for you and your audience! Previous campaigns have included webinars, site visits, CPD training, pop-up info booths, demo vehicles, community action days, and stands at local fairs.

How it Works
Your event/activity must be FREE to attend. Listings are FREE and exclusively for not-profit organisations. YOU plan, promote, and host your activity; WE will list and boost it as part of the week-long engagement and help build the buzz 🐝 around GM housing retrofit.

Your Home Better Open Home - award-winning retrofit!

Your Home Better invites you to join a free guided tour around an award winning zero carbon retrofit in Old Trafford.
This Old Trafford terrace has been retrofitted to be a net-zero operational home, producing all the energy it needs for a year. The project, awarded the 2025 North West Construction Retrofit Award, proves existing housing can be upgraded without losing character.
Guided tours start on the hour and last 45 minutes. See first-hand how insulation, heat pumps, and solar batteries work, and speak with the homeowners about their experience, comfort levels, and energy savings.
