What is the Week of Action?

Retrofit Action Week (RAW) Liverpool City Region is the perfect opportunity to learn more about retrofit for your own work or volunteer role, business or community project.

Discover what’s happening in your local community and networks. A key part of the RAW week, retrofit-focused events and activities are being hosted FREE by local organisations and groups and you are warmly invited to attend any or all during RAW's action week. They are open to all, free to attend and will be very worthwhile.

Come and meet an enthusiastic and knowledgeable band of Wirral residents who care about nature and climate change and have become involved in making a  difference in the areas where they live and work.  There will be lots to do and some musical entertainment and refreshments – and it is FREE to come along. Bring your family and friends. Enjoy some time out and come away with ideas about how you can protect our environment for future generations. Local produce and crafts will also be available from Heswall Farmers’ Market and Craft Market, which will be taking place in Heswall Hall.

Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.
We have a lively mixture of people from environmental groups, academia, government and business. Come along and you'll be made welcome and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there's always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.

People's Emergency Briefing

The People’s Emergency Briefing, a new film aimed at enhancing public awareness of climate and environmental risks. The film had its national release on April 7, 2026, and a series of community-led screenings is scheduled throughout the year, as shown on an interactive screening map. Produced by the National Emergency Briefing team with technical support from Collective Digital, the project highlights how local groups across the UK are organising in-person events to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and encourage collective engagement with resilience challenges.
