Retrofit Action Week Greater Manchester is the perfect opportunity to learn more about retrofit for your own work or volunteer role, business or community project.

Discover what’s happening in your local community and networks. A key part of the RAW week, retrofit-focused events and activities are being hosted FREE by local organisations and groups and you are warmly invited to attend any or all during RAW's action week. They are open to all, free to attend and will be very worthwhile.

Your Home Better invites you to join a free guided tour around an award winning zero carbon retrofit in Old Trafford.

This Old Trafford terrace has been retrofitted to be a net-zero operational home, producing all the energy it needs for a year. The project, awarded the 2025 North West Construction Retrofit Award, proves existing housing can be upgraded without losing character.

Guided tours start on the hour and last 45 minutes. See first-hand how insulation, heat pumps, and solar batteries work, and speak with the homeowners about their experience, comfort levels, and energy savings.
